FTC sweep includes RCA Credit Repair, Crosby and Wellington

The Federal Trade Commission’s nationwide crackdown on credit repair operations resulted in charges against a Largo business.

RCA Credit Repair Services LLC and its managing members, Rick L. Crosby and Brady Wellington, are accused of false and deceptive advertising and violating federal consumer rights law, a release stated.

The business is no longer at the 66th Street North address listed on Florida corporate records, and neither Crosby nor Wellington could be reached.

RCA claims on its Web site to be able — for fees ranging from $500 to $3,000 — to boost credit scores and remove negative credit information from credit reports.
